Expanded Performance Lineup & New Location Announced for Cheyenne Arts Festival

Organizers for the Cheyenne Arts Festival have announced the music and dance lineup for the 5th annual event, August 19-21, 2016. The Cheyenne Arts Festival is a 2-1/2-day celebration of juried visual art exhibits, music, dance, artisans and food in downtown Cheyenne. The Festival is coordinated by Arts Cheyenne.

The CAF Managing Committee and Arts Cheyenne reported the Festival has added an additional Festival day this year . . now running from Friday evening until late Sunday afternoon. The expanded schedule provides more opportunities for the event to showcase the dozens of local and regional performers. The Festival will also move to the Cheyenne Depot Museum and Plaza to accommodate those additional activities.

“We’re proud to welcome this great slate of musicians and dancers to the Festival,” said Bill Lindstrom, Executive Director of Arts Cheyenne. “Adding the additional day (Sunday) makes it easier to accommodate the growing number of bands and acts that want to play for Festival attendees . . and you won’t find a better lineup of talent that you can watch and listen to for free,” he added.

Performance groups scheduled to appear through the weekend include: The Burroughs, Round the Bend, the University of Wyoming Dance in Unlikely Places dance troupe, Black White & Blues Band, Ballet Wyoming, Somerset Catalog, Mama Lenny and the Remedy, Lunde Station, the Jalan Crossland Band, the Josh Gonzalez Band, the Todd Dereemer Band, Rush Archives, and Soul Sacrifice.
