The locally beloved Fridays in the Asher music and arts series will return to Cheyenne on February 2, 2018 with a headlining performance by Lansing, Michigan rockers Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers. That night will mark the first of 10 Friday night concerts that will take place at the Asher Building, located at 500 W. 15th Street, during two separate, five-week stretches in the winter and spring of 2018.
The not-for-profit, volunteer-organized series is presented by Arts Cheyenne, a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit that advocates for arts, culture, and arts education in Cheyenne. Admission to all shows is $5.00 at the door and is open to all ages; beer and wine coolers will be available for purchase for those 21+.
Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers is one of the most nationally prominent bands to ever play the series – but is joined by a wealth of other rising national, regional, and local musical talent that will grace Cheyenne in the coming months. Wildermiss, one of the fastest-rising bands in the Denver music scene, has received over 100,000 plays on Spotify of its single, “Carry Your Heart.” Hip-hop/soul duo The Reminders have shared the stage with legendary acts including Snoop Dogg, Lauryn Hill, Nas, Lupe Fiasco, and Big Boi.
Other highlights include three other national acts (The Sink or Swim, Sur Ellz, The Cabin Project), as well as the return of popular Fort Collins rockers Patti Fiasco on April 20. In addition to live music, the series will also feature live visual artists from the Front Range. For more information, please visit the Fridays in the Hynds Facebook page.
