All First Friday Artwalk Venues

Deselms Fine Art

Deselms Fine Art has occupied this historic Cheyenne since July of 2001. Besides fine custom framing, Deselms features original artwork by local and regional artists. 

Blue Door Arts

Blue Door Arts is the studio and gallery of Georgia and Dave Rowswell. The gallery features Georgia’s unique artwork created with discarded clothing and household textiles and Dave’s unique jewelry creations. The Rowswells also show the work of local and regional artists in the Guest Artist Gallery.

Blue Raven Brewery

Angela Jones, an observational artist from Cheyenne, Wyoming, earned her Art degree from Laramie County Community College in 2023. She showcases her work at the Cheyenne Creativity Center and local venues, including commissioned pet portraits. Employed at Lowe’s, she aspires to become a full-time artist. Angela’s art features acrylics, with recent forays into charcoal and pastels, inspired by the landscapes she explores. Chronicles Distilling

Chronicles Distilling is a Veteran Owned Family Distillery, run by two Marine Corps Infantry Veterans and Brothers, named Aaron and Chase Lesher. This month they will feature Achilles Duo, AKA Derek Huffman from Cheyenne, WY and Chris Vanderhoof from Denver CO. Both lifelong artists, Chris and Derek have been friends since Middle School in Virginia. They collaborate on paintings using acrylic and spray paint, depicting images of anything from their animals, to food items, to their favorite pop culture characters. Their unique style is heavily influenced by street graffiti and modern pop art.

Cheyenne Creativity Center

We are excited to announce our upcoming exhibition, “Yeehaw,” which will celebrate the riches of Western heritage and its enduring influence on art and culture. From the nostalgia of the Old West to the dynamism of modern Western life, we welcome submissions that reflect the myriad facets of Western culture.

Art @ the Hynds

Housed in the Historic Hynds Building, Art@the Hynds is an artist collaborative where the works of Donna DuPont Schultz, Morgan Martin, and Denise Patton can be seen. Emma’s Old Time Photos is also located in the space. Please feel free to stop in to see the work and talk with the artists anytime you see an artist is working in their studio.

Freedom's Edge Brewing

Freedom’s Edge Brewing Company has been brewing up tasty craft beer in the heart of downtown Cheyenne since 2012 making us the oldest operating brewery in the Capital City. Freedom’s Edge also supports local artists and showcases their creativity in the business.

The Hawthorn Tree

July’s featured artist is Anjel Garcia. Anjel is a student from Cheyenne,Wyoming who just completed her associate’s in Art. She is a visual artist who specializes in painting, drawing, and mixed media. Her next transition will be at the University of Northern Colorado where she will go on to study Graphic Design. Anjel’s work is inspired by her family, western life, and everyday cultural practices.

Join the Hawthorn Tree this month during Artwalk to meet the artist, drink delicious coffee and kombutcha, or listen to live music.

Outcast Vintage

Outcast Vintage specializes in curated vintage clothing and accessories. They also offer event space and host community events. From streetwear to formalwear, the perfect hand-picked style is waiting for you.

Paramount Cafe

The Paramount Cafe is a specialty coffee shop and artist space in the heart of downtown Cheyenne, serving the best drink and eats around. The Paramount Ballroom is Cheyenne’s handcrafted cocktail lounge serving specialty cocktails, sharable bites and good vibes.

Westward

Westward is a contemporary western art gallery, locally-crafted goodies boutique + artist studio. Take a seat and soak up the art, grab some gifts or watch local painter, Bria Hammock, at work in her open studio.

The Louise

The Louise is a specialty event venue and live music space in the heart of downtown Cheyenne.

About the Cheyenne First Friday Artwalk

Cheyenne First Friday Artwalk is the community’s monthly celebration of artists and their work. During Artwalk, Cheyenne galleries, businesses, restaurants and other places showcase a local or regional visual artist or musician, accompanied by light food and beverages. Artwalk patrons visit the venues on an unstructured schedule, walking, driving or biking.

Cheyenne First Friday Artwalk takes place the first Friday of each month from 5:00 – 8:00 pm.  2024 marks the 14th year for Cheyenne First Friday Artwalk.

During the 2024 First Friday Artwalk Season, we’ll be showcasing an Artwalk venue almost every month:

Purpose

Cheyenne First Friday Artwalk addresses a specific Arts Cheyenne strategic and programming goal: to raise the profile of Cheyenne and regional creatives and provide opportunities to share their work, their processes and their passion with patrons.

Artists

Artwalk artists are some of Cheyenne and the region’s most creative individuals.  They’re always thrilled to show their unique interpretations.

Venues

Artwalk venues are businesses and organizations committed to vitality and creativity in Cheyenne.
