What We’re Looking For

Course Types
We are always in search of unique and different classes to offer our participants. These can be in the form of a single workshop that covers a certain subject, or a concurrent course that happens over a period of days or weeks.
Our participants are often looking for quick, fun things they can do with friends and family as well as workshops where they can dive deeper into a subject, really learning and honing skills.
There are a few limitations to our space in the form of ventilation, lighting, and other environmental considerations, and we always encourage teaching artists to reach out to discuss a course idea and to learn more about what our facility can offer.

Experience
We are willing to work with an artist who’s new to teaching, helping them to understand how to structure a course, work with participants and engage a subject.
We are also of course excited about those with arts teaching background, experience, and pedagogy knowledge, which can make for a rich experience for our participants.

Class Structure
We’ve found that our best time for workshops are generally Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday evenings from roughly 5:30-7:30 or 8:00 pm. An occasional Saturday also works, depending on the time of year. Our afternoon classes ranging between 1-3 or 2-4 have also been successful for a different audience base.
Supplies can be facilitated based on what we have on hand and what might be particular to a course. If the teaching artist desires specialty equipment, then they should reach out to discuss options and availability.
